Governor
Liana Opitz | [email protected]

Hey y’all! I’m Liana Opitz (she/her) and I am so honored to be serving as the WUM CKI District Governor for the 2024-2025 CKI year! I am a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee studying Cultural Foundations of Community Engagement and Education. When I am not doing CKI tasks, I work as an intern of success coaching at UW-Milwaukee, a substitute teacher, and a nanny/babysitter in my hometown. I have been in the Kiwanis Family for four years and have loved every second of it! Within those four years, I have had the privilege of serving in club leadership roles, district positions, as well as serving on two international committees. I am always up for talking about pets (I have a cat named Nugget), niche hobbies, or podcasts. A fun fact about me is that I can juggle and make balloon animals! This year I really want to focus on the membership and highlight everything that y’all are accomplishing. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you! If you ever want to talk or need support, please do not hesitate to reach out as I am here to serve all of you!

Secretary
Kayla Frei | [email protected]

Hi everyone! My name is Kayla Frei (she/her) and I am super excited to be serving as the District Secretary for WUM CKI 2024-2025 year!  My goal this year is to work with all the club Secretaries to help them be successful in their roles. I am a senior at UW-Whitewater, majoring in elementary education with a minor in special education. Before being on the District Board I served as the UW-Whitewater’s club President and Secretary. I've been a part of the Kiwanis Family for 7 years (3 years in K-Kids, 1 year in Key Club, and 3 years in CKI). Outside of CKI I work at Old Navy as a store associate. I also enjoy going to the farmer’s market on weekends, crocheting, shopping, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to getting to know the membership and working with the club Secretaries. Please feel free to reach out to me through email with any questions or concerns.

Treasurer
Kallie Snowtala | [email protected]

Hey y'all! My name is Kallie Snowtala (she/her) and I am the WUM District Treasurer for this 2024-2025 CKI year! I have been in the Kiwanis family for about 3 years and I am so glad I joined. It has been the best decision of my life. I attend the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay, majoring in Communication with a double emphasis in social media strategy and sports communications. I am also working towards a certification in digital marketing. I graduate in December but I will be here all year, so do not worry- I am not going anywhere! When I am not working on CKI, I am working at CVS, although one day I hope to be working in sports on their social media! Some of my hobbies include hanging out with my friends, cuddling with my dog, Oakley, and spending too much money at Target. I am so glad to be on this journey with all of you and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!

Bulletin Editor
Elizabeth Johnson | [email protected]

Hi everyone! My name is Elizabeth Johnson (she/her) and I am so excited to be serving as the District Bulletin Editor for the WUM CKI 2024-2025 service year! I am a senior at UW-Whitewater, majoring in History Education with a minor in Political Science Education. This fall I will be student teaching at the 8th grade level in Kenosha County! Previously, I have served as UW-W’s club bulletin editor, as well as the 2021-2022 District Kiwanis Family and Outreach Chair. I love all things Canva and being creative through creating content for CKI. I can not wait to work with our membership and club bulletin editors to transform social media and the content that celebrates service, leadership, and fellowship. Outside of CKI, I work at Six Flags Great America as a Rides Department Training Administrative Supervisor and love to visit theme parks. You can also find me at museums, Cubs games, or listening to Taylor Swift and Jimmy Buffett. I also love spending time with my cat, my partner, and my best friends. I look forward to working hard this year and making it the best one yet. Please feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions, concerns, ideas, or things you would love to highlight across our social media platforms or in the Circle of Sharing!
